Licensing changes:

  • DB.RTD allows getting data with up to 50 formulas for free.
    It does not require the registration for use in the free mode.
  • You can activate the trial version once when you are ready to try the full features, and not within 30 days after installation.
    Trial activations are controlled on the server side. You can apply by email to extend the trial period.

Changes in supported platforms and providers:

  • DB.RTD requires .NET Framework 4.6.2.
  • Removed support for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
  • Added support for Microsoft OLE DB Driver 18 for SQL Server (MSOLEDBSQL)
    You can use this provider instead of OLEDBSQL shipped with Microsoft Office if you cannot connect to SQL Server 2017 or higher.

  • DB.RTD is integrated into the SaveToDB add-in (version 9.1 or higher).
    The add-in allows getting RTD formulas for the connected tables and views using DB.RTD Connection Wizard.
    Also, the add-in allows refreshing data at any time using the Refresh RTD Data menu button.
    SaveToDB 9.1 allows working for free, without any registration.
    You will find a lot of useful features.
  • DB.RTD allows refreshing data immediately after the following function call:
    =RTD("db.rtd",,"rtd_refresh_now")
    You can call it using a button with a macro, for example.

  • Significantly improved performance of reading Oracle Database metadata

  • The monthly subscription is available.
  • The product tries to activate a new subscription in a period three days before and three days after the expiration.
    It sends request automatically every 16 hours. You can disable this feature in the finish step of the registration wizard.
